FOR SALE: 1981 VW Rabbit Pickup Diesel LX
5 speed with approx 140k original miles. Lifelong California vehicle with no rot or rust just a very modest patina. Lots of newly replaced parts and many period correct aftermarket parts and accessories and spare parts included (correct color Lago Blue hood and fenders, etc). Nearly brand new fuel tank, Giles injection pump and advanced 2 teeth, bottom end is from a turbo diesel Golf. Starts, idles, runs and drives amazing and surprisingly peppy altho there is some blow by, the motor is burning oil. It is not effecting the way it drives or the reliability but perhaps something to address if a TDI or VR6 swap isnt desired :)
